CI Beacon is an application designed for scanning and managing iBeacon devices. The app displays key parameters such as UUID, Major, Minor, signal strength (RSSI), and transmission power (TX Power), and allows you to modify these settings directly. CI Beacon is suitable for setting up and maintaining iBeacon infrastructure in retail, navigation, and other location-based applications.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Bluetooth and Location Data

To provide the core functionality of scanning and managing iBeacon devices, CI Beacon requires access to:

Bluetooth Permission: Required to scan for and communicate with nearby iBeacon devices.
Location Permission: Required by the operating system to scan for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons. This is a system requirement and not used by our app to track your physical location.

2.2 iBeacon Device Information

The app collects and displays information broadcast by iBeacon devices, including:

UUID (Universally Unique Identifier)
Major value
Minor value
RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator)
TX Power (Transmission Power)

2.3 Data We Do NOT Collect

CI Beacon does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
Precise geolocation or GPS coordinates
User behavior or usage analytics
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Any data beyond the iBeacon broadcast information displayed in the app

3. How We Use Information

All iBeacon data scanned by the app is:

Processed locally on your device only
Displayed in real-time in the app interface
Used to modify beacon settings when you choose to update beacon parameters
Not stored permanently unless you explicitly save beacon configurations within the app
Not transmitted to any external servers or third parties

4. Data Storage

CI Beacon stores data exclusively on your local device:

Saved Beacon Configurations: If you choose to save beacon settings, these are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to any cloud services.
App Preferences: User preferences and app settings are stored locally using device storage.
No Cloud Storage: We do not use any cloud services or remote servers to store your data.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

CI Beacon does not share, sell, rent, or transfer any user data to third parties. The app operates entirely offline and does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

6. Permissions Explanation

6.1 Bluetooth Permission

Required to scan for, connect to, and communicate with iBeacon devices. This permission is essential for the core functionality of the app.

6.2 Location Permission

Required by iOS and Android operating systems as a privacy measure when scanning for Bluetooth Low Energy devices. While location permission is technically required, CI Beacon does not access, collect, or use your actual geographic location. The permission is solely needed to enable Bluetooth beacon scanning as mandated by the operating system.

7. Children's Privacy

CI Beacon does not knowingly collect any personal information from users. The app is designed for technical and professional use in configuring iBeacon infrastructure and does not target children under the age of 13.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect data processed by CI Beacon:

All data is processed and stored locally on your device
No data transmission to external servers
App permissions are used strictly for their stated purposes
Regular security updates and improvements

However, please note that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We recommend that you take appropriate measures to secure your device, such as using device passwords or biometric locks.

9. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

Permission Control: You can revoke Bluetooth and Location permissions at any time through your device settings. Note that revoking these permissions will prevent the app from functioning.
Data Deletion: You can delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data through your device settings.
No Account Required: CI Beacon does not require account creation or login, ensuring your privacy from the start.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by:

Updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy
Posting the updated policy within the app or on our website

11. International Users
